Bulk Balance Adjustments

This article will walk you through how to perform a bulk balance adjustment through Admin Tools.

Have you ever needed to adjust a departments Spending or Giving Balance? Maybe you just have a small group that you need to adjust. No matter the situation we've got your back! The Bulk Adjustment tool will allow you, as an admin, to make adjustments to individuals Spending and Giving balances in bulk rather than doing it individually or globally.

How to do a bulk balance adjustment

To perform a bulk balance adjustment, first, you'll head over to Admin Tools. To access this section of Motivosity, go ahead and do the following:

  1. Select the drop-down arrow in the upper right corner

  2. Select "Admin Tools"

From Admin Tools, you'll see some options on the left side. Go ahead and select "Manage Motivosity Bucks"

On the following screen you will see the option to do a Bulk Adjustment and add additional Motivosity Bucks to a certain group of users. You can also subtract Motivosity Bucks from users and input negative amounts! This section will allow you to use a spreadsheet to make adjustments to any group of employees.


Performing a Bulk Giving Adjustment

If you would like to adjust the Giving Balance for users, go ahead and select the green "Upload File" button under the "Bulk Giving Adjustment" option.

If you need it, there is an option to download the Template File. Once you have downloaded your template, this will create a spreadsheet of your entire Org Chart with certain columns that need to be filled out appropriately.


Performing a Bulk Spending Adjustment

If you would like to adjust the Spending Balance for users, go ahead and select the green "Upload File" button under the "Bulk Spending Amount Adjustment" option.

If you need it, there is an option to download the Template File. Once you have downloaded your template, this will create a spreadsheet of your entire Org Chart with certain columns that need to be filled out appropriately.


Understanding the Template File

Each column in the template needs to be filled out in order for the spreadsheet to upload successfully. Here are a few things to keep in mind when adding the information to the columns.

  1. Email - the email needs to match the email used in Motivosity

  2. Amount - the amount needs to be a whole number and not a decimal or cent value

  3. Note - this is for you to add the appreciation description or note that explains why this appreciation is giving to the chosen users.

Please Note: This template will allow you to use negative amounts! If you need to use this spreadsheet to make negative adjustments you can do that as well! For ex: "-5"


Uploading the Template File

Once you are finished with your template, you'll head back to Motivosity and click the "Select File" button. Find and select the spreadsheet you would like to upload and then select "Save".

You will shortly receive an email letting you know if the import was successful or if encountered any errors. If your report ran into any errors while uploading, you can always reach out to our amazing Support Team.
