Resources for your Timed Trial

We know can be extremely exciting to try a new Motivosity Add-On that you've never tried before. But we also know it can be equally intimidating to have access to a new tool you have never used before. Don't worry! In this article we will point you in the right direction to make sure you are prepared for a successful trial, no matter which add-on you're trying.


Rewards & Recognition

Our Rewards & Recognition add-on helps employees be happier at work by helping them feel recognized and appreciated. With this add-on you can create recognition and achievement based awards, attach Motivosity Bucks to birthday and work anniversary recognitions, add local items to your Motivosity Store, and more!

Here are the things you will want to consider before adding users to this trial:

  • Funding: Before you get started you will want to make sure you have funds in place so your employees can redeem the Motivosity Bucks they get receive during this trial.

  • Turn Off Cash Exempt Statuses: If you don't have our Rewards & Recognition tool yet, it's very possible you've made all of your employees Cash Exempt. If your users are cash exempt they won't be able to give or receive any motivosity bucks.

  • Store: If you are new to Rewards & Recognition you might not know about all of the cool things you can do with your Motivosity Store! Now you can link to an external swag store and even upload local rewards (items you would handle right there in your office).

  • Peer to Peer Giving: The most popular feature of this add-on is our Peer to Peer feature. With this feature users will be given some Motivosity Bucks TO GIVE to other users. By default all users will have $5 at the time they are added to this trial. That amount will RESET on the first of each month, so make sure you are prepared for that!

    • Sweeteners: By default users can earn $2 by giving away all of the Motivosity Bucks in their "To Give" Buckets. You can change this anytime by going to Setup > Sweeteners.

  • Spot Bonuses: With this trial you can allocate Motivosity Bucks to your managers. They can use this new allocation to reward their team members with this special bucket of money rather than the typical $1 Peer-to-Peer appreciation. These dollars don't expire each month the same way Peer to Peer giving dollars do, but are considered an annual allocation that managers can use throughout the year.

  • Awards: Awards are a great way to recognize your employees for doing something special (Recognition Award) or to encourage all of your users to go do something you want them to do by offering them Motivosity Bucks (Achievement Award). Try building an achievement award to encourage your users to do something special during this trial run!

  • Milestones: We love celebrating Birthdays and Work Anniversaries here! The software already acknowledges when these big days pop up, but with this add-on you can have Motivosity automatically gift Motivosity Bucks with the announcement. You likely won't use this feature during your 30-day trial, but we want you to know it's here!

  • External Giving: Is there someone outside of your company you'd like to appreciate? Send them some motivosity bucks and invite them to shop at your Motivosity store!

  • Adding Users to the Timed Trial: Finally, really consider who you'd like to participate in this timed trial. We recommend adding the whole company! But if you'd like to test things out with a small strategic group, you can do that as well!


Manager Development

65% of people think they would be more effective if they had a better boss. Our Manager Development add-on helps transform managers by creating the right habits to help them coach their teams and build positive relationships using our 1 on 1, Coaching, and Priorities tools. Managers will also be able to give key player ratings as well as create a succession plan for their team members, all right there in Motivosity.

Here are the things you will want to consider before adding users to this Trial:

  • Manager Development for Admins: We STRONGLY recommend you keep all of the default settings for this add-on. They match exactly what we use here in the Motivosity Office. If you would like to understand the ways you can customize all of these tools, please watch this video to learn more about what you can customize.

  • Manager Development for Managers: We know there is a lot for managers to learn! Share this article with your manages to help them get started.

  • Manager Development Training Videos: The first time any manager opens the pages for the various tools available to them a window will pop up teaching them how to use that tool. We know managers love to close those windows, so we have compiled all of those videos here and have included shareable links beneath each video to help you out.

  • Sweeteners: We know how important it is to incentivize your managers and their team members to actually use their Manager Development tools. Sweeteners are turned on to automatically reward your employees for using these tools. Make sure you have looked at the Setup > Sweeteners page to see all of the ways your employees can earn Motivosity Bucks and change those values to match your budget.

  • Holding Meetings in Motivosity: Once your calendar is connected, you can hold a meeting with ANYONE in Motivosity! This video is great to share with employees to help them learn how.

  • Adding Users to the Timed Trial: Finally, really consider who you'd like to participate in this timed trial. We recommend adding the whole company! But if you'd like to test things out with a small strategic group, you can do that as well!

Please Note: For a manager to see the Manager Tools, at least one of their direct reports will need to be added to this free trial! If you ONLY add a manager and none of the manager tools will be available for them to use. If you aren't adding the entire company, be strategic with who you add!


Employee Insights

Gain a window into employee sentiment with our Employee Insights add-on. This tool will allow you to send quarterly Employee Satisfaction surveys that generate an eNPS score, providing you with the data you need to take actions that help people be happier at work. With Employee Insights you will also be able to create and send your own surveys in Motivosity, allowing you to add Motivosity Bucks to incentivize survey participation.

Here are the things you will want to consider before adding users to this Trial:

  • MV6 Satisfaction Survey: By default your Satisfaction Survey is all setup and ready to go with our MV6 questions! We strongly recommend using the prebuilt questions for this survey because you will be able to compare your results with our Motivosity Benchmark scores as well as Industry Wide Benchmark scores.

    • Sweetener: By default your users will earn $2 by completing their Satisfaction Survey. You can change that value in the Setup > Sweeteners page.

    • eNPS Data Dashboard: Once users have started completing their surveys you'll be able to dive deep into the data! Use this data to get a real view of how your employees feel about their jobs, then use coach carl to help you understand how you can start to turn that data into actionable changes.

  • Pulse Surveys: You can send fully-customizable one-off Pulse Surveys for all sorts of reasons! Maybe you'd like to figure out where you're going for Fun Lunch Friday, or to ask your employees for their feedback on a specific change that's happening in the company. We'd love you to get creative and send a few of these during your trial! Consider sending a survey asking how they felt about this tool during your trial run.

  • Adding Users to the Timed Trial: Finally, really consider who you'd like to participate in this timed trial. We recommend adding the whole company! But if you'd like to test things out with a small strategic group, you can do that as well!
