Overview
There are a few ways to sign in to Motivosity. Pick whichever fits:
With a password, if you have one and know it
With a one-time code, if you've forgotten your password or have never set one
With a phone number, if that's your username
Redirected to another page when you sign in? Your company uses a Single Sign-On integration, and you'll sign in with your company credentials rather than a Motivosity password. See Signing into Motivosity Using Single Sign-On.
Signing in with a password
Go to app.motivosity.com.
Enter your username. This is most often your work email, but many companies use a phone number or payroll ID instead.
Select Next.
Enter your password.
Select Sign In.
You may be asked for a 6-digit confirmation code. If so, enter it and you'll land on your Motivosity home page. See the section below for where that code comes from.
About the 6-digit confirmation code
Signing in through the Motivosity sign-in screen sometimes requires a 6-digit code. A few things worth knowing:
Where it's sent. By email, push notification, or SMS, depending on whether you've installed the app or have a phone number on your profile. Codes go to the email address and phone number held on your Motivosity record.
Don't copy and paste it. Pasting the code from an email can cause it to be read as invalid. Type the six digits in instead.
Need a new one? Select Send New Code.
SSO users usually skip this, unless they have Admin permissions.
The mobile app is the easiest route. With the app installed you can approve the sign-in from a notification with one tap, and your browser signs in automatically.
If codes aren't arriving at all, or they're going to an address or number you can't access, your Motivosity administrator can confirm and correct what's on your record.
Signing in with a one-time code
Use this if you've forgotten your password or have never set one.
Go to app.motivosity.com, enter your username, and select Next.
Select Request a one-time code.
Check your email and text messages for a 6-digit code, then type it in. As above, type the digits rather than pasting them.
Signing in with a phone number
Many companies allow a phone number or payroll ID as the username. You enter it on the same sign-in page.
Include the country code. This is the part that catches people out. Dashes, spaces, and parentheses are all ignored, so you can format the number however you like, but the country code needs to be there.
Examples:
For a US number, 18005551234 and 1-800-555-1234 both work. 800-555-1234 will not, because the country code is missing.
If your number isn't working, your administrator can confirm exactly what's stored on your profile.
Common country codes:
Australia: +61
Brazil: +55
China: +86
France: +33
India: +91
Mexico: +52
Philippines: +63
United Kingdom: +44
United States and Canada: +1
