What is the Incoming Webhook App?

The Microsoft Incoming Webhook app within Teams is a useful integration that will allow different posts from Motivosity to display in a specific channel of your choosing within Teams. In this article we'll walk you through how to connect the Incoming Webhook app with Motivosity.

How to Setup the Incoming Webhook App

To get started, we'll head to the "Apps" section in Microsoft Teams

Next, go ahead and search for "Incoming Webhook"

Once you locate the app, go ahead and select "Add"

From there, you will select the "Add to Team" button.

After, you will search for the Teams channel you would like to receive Motivosity posts on. Once you have found that channel, go ahead and select it and select "Set up a connector".

You will then be brought to a modal that you will set up the Incoming Webhook app. First you will give the app a name (we recommend using Motivosity). Then you will select an icon or logo. This will show when a post is created in the Teams channel. When you are ready, go ahead and select "Create"

This will generate a Webhook URL that you then copy to your clipboard.

Now that you have the webhook copied, you can now use this in Motivosity either for receiving all notifications from your home feed, or connect it with a Space to receive all notifications from that Space.
