Before Motivosity enables Paycom for your organization, review the requirements below. Paycom restricts third-party API access, so setup requires a few additional steps from your Paycom administrator.
Why Paycom access is different
Paycom takes a “walled garden” approach to its ecosystem and severely limits third-party access to its API, including access by Paycom customers. Because Paycom controls API access, Motivosity cannot issue credentials or waive Paycom’s requirements.
Before you start
• Ask your Paycom representative for an API key for “internal use.” This approach has been successful for other customers and, in most cases, avoids Paycom’s extensive third-party review process.
• Be prepared to pay a fee to Paycom to obtain a Client ID and Client Secret.
• Have a Paycom administrator allowlist the US tenant IP addresses listed below.
Allowlist the US tenant IP addresses
Paycom only permits approved IP addresses to use its API service. Add all of these IP addresses to your Paycom allowlist:
44.194.126.11
44.194.4.0
3.232.227.174
3.214.125.237
54.158.121.71
44.193.163.62
Connect Paycom to Motivosity
Step 1: After Paycom provides the API key, Client ID, and Client Secret, start the Paycom connection in Setup -> Integrations.
Step 2: Enter the credentials in the secure connection flow.
Step 3: Complete the configuration and field-mapping steps, then activate the integration.

After the credentials are entered, the Paycom integration works like Motivosity’s other HRIS integrations. You do not need custom development or a separate integration process.
What the integration supports
Paycom remains the source of truth for employee data. Once connected, the integration can sync new employees, updates to existing employee profiles, and employee terminations into Motivosity according to the connector’s normal sync schedule.
