Overview

You might be wondering, "what happens to an employee's Spending Balance after they are removed from Motivosity?". Well, we've got you covered! This article will help you know what happens to these funds and where you can see the last remaining Spending Balance for anyone who was removed from Motivosity.

What Happens to a Terminated Employee's Spending Balance?

This is a great question! When an employee is terminated and they have a Spending Balance in Motivosity, these dollars are not tied to any funded balance, so they just go unused and are removed from the system along with the employee.

How Do I See The Last Remaining Spending Balance for a Terminated Employee?

There are two ways you can see an employee's last remaining Spending Balance. We'll show you how below:

The Deleted Users Report

The first option is through the Deleted Users report. If the terminated employee has been removed from Motivosity within the last 5 days, you can go ahead and use the steps below:

  1. First, go ahead and navigate to the "Insights" tab.

  2. Next, you'll select the "Community & Team" Dashboard:

  3. Click the "Deleted Users" Report

  4. If you have any terminated employees you can review the user's "Cash Received Balance" information in the report to see the last remaining Spending Balance

The Orders Report

If your employees have been terminated greater than 5 days ago, you can go ahead and use the following steps below.

Please Note: If the user has no Spending Balance ($0.00) they will not appear in the 'Orders' report.

  1. First, go ahead and navigate to the "Insights" tab.

  2. Next, you'll select the "Awards and Rewards" section.

  3. Then select the "Orders" report.

  4. From this report, there will be a termination filter where you can see all terminated employee's last remaining Spending Balance.
