How to Start a 1 on 1

Wanting to begin a scheduled 1 on 1 meeting? See below on where to start!

Using your Calendar Integration on the Home Page

If you have already scheduled a 1 on 1 meeting through your integrated calendar, you can begin the meeting by following the steps below:

1. First, head to your Motivosity home page and click your 1 on 1 meeting in the 'Meetings' section.

2. From here, you'll be able to start the 1 on 1 near the top right of your Meeting Management modal.

3. If you head to the 'Team' tab on the left-hand side of the meeting management modal you can view your other team's 1 on 1 meetings. Click which direct report you'd like. Here we're viewing Andy's for example.


Scheduling from the Manage Tab

To start a 1 on 1 meeting from your Manage tab, you'll want to do the following:

  1. On the day of a specific 1 on 1, select the direct report.

  2. Once the direct report has been selected, click 'Start' to begin the 1 on 1.

  3. You can now go ahead and navigate through the 1 on 1 as normal and add in agenda items and notes as needed.

  4. To finish the 1 on 1 meeting, you can click 'End & Share Summary'.


Beginning Ahead of Schedule

If you would like to start a 1 on 1 earlier than when it was originally scheduled for, you can do the following:

  1. Select the direct report you would like to start the 1 on 1 with.

  2. Select the "Start" button.

  3. You can now go ahead and navigate through the 1 on 1 as normal and add in agenda item and notes as needed

  4. To finish the 1 on 1 meeting please click 'End & Share Summary'.


Unscheduled "One-Off" 1 on 1s

If you would like to have a one-off 1 on 1 meeting, go ahead and do the following:

  1. Select the direct report you would like to start the 1 on 1 with.

  2. Head to your Calendar and schedule an impromptu 1 on 1 meeting with your direct report.

  3. Once the meeting is scheduled Motivosity will sync and add the meeting into the instance.

Please Note: If you select "Talk about something new" a new 1 on 1 meeting will be generated without any previous or recurring agenda items or notes.
