What Does Reset Company Data Do?
Before your company goes live, you can use the Reset Company Data button to clear out the test activity created while you were getting set up. It does a lot more than clear the home feed, but it leaves your people and settings in place.
Please note: A reset cannot be undone. A confirmation pop-up warns you about this before it runs.
Where to Find the Button
The Reset Company Data button is in the Account Status banner. It only shows while your company isn't live yet, so you won't see it after launch.
What Gets Deleted
A reset permanently removes the following:
Home feed activity: every post, appreciation, comment, and like on the feed
Awards: awards people have received
Points and bonuses: points that were given and received, plus spot bonus history
Store activity: store orders and shopping carts
Leaderboards and activity stats: for example, logins
eNPS and satisfaction surveys: survey responses, plus any survey links still waiting to be used, so you can send the baseline survey again
Uploaded images and files: profile photos, award images, store item images, announcement and feed attachments, and the company logos and login page images
What Stays
Employee profiles
Your company's settings
Other custom surveys and their responses
Things to Know
The button only shows while your company isn't live yet.
A reset also clears your planned launch date, so you will need to set it again.
It can't be undone.
It takes a few minutes. When it's done, your company's main admin gets an email saying whether it worked.
After a Reset
Because a reset deletes your logos and other branding images, be ready to upload them again. See Company Branding for how to add them back.
You will also want to:
Set your launch date again. See Launching Motivosity When You're Ready.
Send the baseline eNPS and satisfaction survey again, since previous responses and unused survey links were cleared.
FAQ
If I use Reset Company Data before launch, does it only clear the home feed?
No. It clears the home feed, and it also deletes awards, points and spot bonus history, store orders and carts, leaderboards and activity stats, eNPS and satisfaction survey responses, and uploaded images and files such as logos. Employee profiles and company settings stay in place.
