Types of Store Items

The Motivosity store consists of four main types of items: eGifts, Branded Goods, Local Gifts, and 'For a Cause' Charitable items.

  • eGifts - the eGifts are just electronic gift cards. When these are purchased, the user receives a code right after clicking 'Buy Now'. Along with that if you forget the code you can go to 'My History' and click on the tab 'Orders'. There a list of your orders will appear along with their information. For eGifts, the company doesn't have to do anything to fulfill these rewards.
  • Company Branded Goods - this is simply a link to your Namify or VOX account. It's easy to set up and like eGifts doesn't require extra effort after a purchase.
  • Local Gifts - these are self-managed gifts. They could be tickets to local entertainment or unique items that exist only in your company. All 'Local' items are self-managed in that when someone orders one or receives one as part of a birthday or anniversary, they are directed to someone in the company who is responsible for fulfillment.
  • 'For a Cause' Charitable Items - like local gifts are self-managed. Companies can support a cause and users can allocate their spending money toward that cause. Purchases of Charitable Items are treated differently for tax purposes.

Setting Up eGifts

The eGifts are by far the favorite of Motivosity users. You can manage the available e-gift cards by clicking on the 'Manage E-Gift Cards' button.

Choosing your 'E Gifts':

Once you pick the ones you think your employees would like to redeem their cash for. They will then start to appear in the store.

When you set up your organization, each employee can have a country code. When an employee has a country code, they see only items in the store that match that country or are global. The Gift cards are in categories based on country.

Apart from eGifts, you'll have the ability to enable employees to use their dollars in various other ways. Theses include Company Branded Goods by linking up with Namify or VOX Marketing, Local Rewards, and For a Cause charitable donations. Local rewards and For a Cause require you to link the reward to a user who will manage distribution. An example would be if you made a Local Reward for 1$ of 'High Five From Steve the CEO' you would want to link Steve to the reward so he would know when and where to deliver the high five.

Setting Up Company Branded Goods

You have two options when setting up your branded goods. Configuring both methods is very similar, but VOX also requires a password. This is what it looks like. Just put in your information and it should link up like magic!

Creating Local Items

If you don't have an account with Namify or VOX, but you still have company swag you would like in the store, creating a local item is the way you want to go. You can get creative here! We've seen people put in all kinds of things from lunch with the CEO to snacks, shirts, or balloons. This can help drive a very local feel in the app.

To create a local store item scroll towards the bottom of the 'setup store' page. Once you reach 'Creating Local Items' Click on the green box in the bottom right corner it is labeled 'CREATE A LOCAL REWARD'. A blue box will appear like the one shown below.

Please note that if you save multiple items with the same name, they will be grouped together in the store so that the user can choose which option from a drop-down. (Example:  T-shirt sizes)

Setting Up 'For a Cause' Charitable Items

Similar setup process to local items. Once set up, they appear in the store in their own section. To create a 'Cause' item just click the Create a Cause button.
